Pepsi and Doritos 2011 Superbowl Ad Contest Finalists

Doritos(r) and Pepsi Max(r) are promoting their brands via another Superbowl Ad contest. The contest is used to advertise the promote these two products by the use of 30-second commericals. The submitted commercials were judged based on originality and creativity, adherence to the creative assignment and the overall appeal.

After sorting through thousands of entries, the organization has selected  ten finalists. Each of the ten finalists (5 for each brand) receive $25,000. These ten commercials are posted on the Doritos/Pepsi website and fans vote to select six final commercials. Note, fans are entered into a contest to win a trip to the Superbowl by voting, plus, undoubtedly, giving up their info for future marketing campaigns.

The six finalists selected via this voting process will be shown during the Superbowl broadcast. If any of the ads rate No. 1 on the USA Today Ad meter, the creators will receive $1 million cool dollars. Second place on the meter earns $600,000 and a third place finish gets $400,000.
