I am heading to NYC in October, and glad to see it made the list! Born and raised California girl that cannot wait to see the leaves change colors. Question, do you have any insider tips for me? Like places a native New Yorker would recommend?

Alisha . . . thanks for visiting my hub and commenting. I will try to help; however, I'm not a native New Yorker, I just play one :). Are you going to be based in Manhattan? I tend to do touristy things when I'm there. Broadway, (you can get 1/2 price tickets), Central Park, Times Square, shopping, etc. I did like a Dozen Apples Tour I took once; its a 6 hour walking tour; the guide was great and provided lots of tips and history. Visit Garnegie Deli if you can. Also, Chinatown, SoHo, Little Italy. I'll see if I can find a hub or some additional tips for you.
